Crank up the cuteness!

Capybaras are adorable, but they’re much bigger than they look. So how do they float and swim?

10 Cute Facts About Capybaras

#1: Capybaras are closely related to guinea pigs and rock cavies (small rock-climbing rodents native to Brazil).

#2: As semi-aquatic mammals, capybaras are great swimmers. They can hold their breath for 5 minutes underwater!

#3: Capybaras sometimes sleep in with their bodies submerged in water, resting their noses on the riverbank so they can breathe!

That’s all for this week, but I’ll see you next Friday. Remember to feed your mind!
